This course is module 3 of the full Online Permaculture Design Course that we offer. It can also be taken in isolation as long as you have completed an Introduction to Permaculture Course (online or in-person).
The course covers some key aspects of landscape ecology and landscape restoration.
Discovering patterns in nature helps us approach the highly complex structures that create our world, the landscapes and creatures. We will learn the basics of hydrology and the water cycle and why it is key within permaculture design and landscape restoration. We will explore the practical principles of water management and the role of trees and agroecology within permaculture.
Finally we will see how this knowledge is applied in the restoration of ecosystems around the world in different climate zones.
Dates and times are: Saturday December 11th 2021, 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm UK times.
The course is thought by Michel Thill plus a guest teacher.
