Community Orchard & Food Growing in Hillside Gardens Park

Social Landscapes has brought the community together to plant a community orchard of 15 fruit trees, build vegetable planters and reinvigorate the community allotment in Hillside Gardens Park. There have been 55 volunteers involved in planting and volunteering sessions in the park.

The tree planting happening in partnership with the Urban Orchard Project and the Open Orchard Project, the building of planters was funded by Streatham Action and the Mayor of London and small grants for the allotment were given by Incredible Edible Lambeth.
